“FLIR was founded in 1978, originally providing infrared imaging systems that were installed on vehicles for use in conducting energy audits. They later expanded their focus to other applications and markets for thermal imaging technology, such as stabilized thermal imaging cameras for law enforcement aircraft, radiometry devices for use in monitoring industrial systems, and thermal imaging systems for use in ground-based security and search and rescue. They have since grown substantially due to increasing demand for infrared products across a growing number of markets combined with the execution of a series of acquisitions. Today they are one of the world leaders in the design, manufacture, and marketing of sensor systems that enhance perception and awareness for a wide variety of users in the commercial, industrial, and government markets, internationally as well as domestically. Their Government Systems business is focused primarily on markets where very high performance situational awareness tools are required. They design, manufacture, and market thermal imaging and radar surveillance systems, chemical and explosive detection products, and turn-key integrated sensor solutions to governmental entities across the globe. Their customers benefit from the valuable information these portable and fixed systems provide in applications such as force protection, airborne and ground-based surveillance, search and rescue, law enforcement, perimeter security, border and maritime patrol, navigation safety, drug interdiction, and chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosives (CBRNE) detection. Their Government Systems division derives its revenue from sales to government agencies and they are continuing to expand their military program business, both in the United States and internationally. FLIR became a tenant of the DRCC to provide impact on the development of the DRCC and their members. The DRCC fosters synergy between their members, and this directly aligns with the principles that we use at FLIR.”

Their primary mission is to implement novel software protection systems for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and all their associated networks, applications and devices and will leverage technology patents licensed from the Air Force Institute of Technology and Security Innovation to create extremely resilient, process and code sequence based software application whitelisting systems to harden the systems used in our global critical infrastructure. Incorporated in the state of Delaware, SSI is headquartered in Dayton, OH. where they received their first funding from DDC and continue to look for additional funding in the region to complete the primary product and recruit cleared and uncleared professional services teams to implement their solutions worldwide.”

Our unique RFID, wireless reminder system and digitally-enabled recycling bin/kiosk can help retailers better connect with consumer’s in-store. These systems integrate with other retail technology and mobile apps to provide shoppers a quick look at product info, in-store deals and encourage social media interaction. ESI relocated to Dayton, Ohio from Dunedin, Florida in 2011 to become members of the DRCC, grow our new venture and create jobs in the region. We enjoy living in downtown Dayton and working in Tech Town’s Creative Technology Accelerator Building.”
