“Co-Operative Engineering Services, Inc. (CESI) is a manufacturer of small unmanned aerial vehicles as well as providing payload integration services and flight test services. CESI has developed an electric powered aircraft that spans the gap between very small man-packed tactical vehicles and larger vehicles requiring significant ground support equipment. The new aircraft is named SPEAR and has impressive performance capabilities for an aircraft with a 54 inch wingspan. In it’s lightest form the aircraft has a total launch weight of 4 lbs with a 1 hour flight time. In this form the aircraft can carry a high resolution HD quality camera with live monitoring of camera view, while recording 1280×720 30 FPS video on board the aircraft. This is more than adequate quality for most basic surveillance work with very low footprint, as the aircraft is hand launched and recovered in a net. Recently CESI undertook an enhancement program that has resulted in a new, proprietary production method which results in a very light, highly ruggidized successor to the original aircraft. The newest SPEAR has an all up launch weight of 5 lbs and sports a carbon fiber skin for rugged operation in demanding environments. This development has led to CESI being awarded a DARPA sub-contract to produce two SPEARS adapted to high altitude extreme environments for the purpose of exploring thunderstorm activity. These aircraft are capable of ground launching, climbing to 10000 feet and loitering in the storm area for 30 minutes before returning to the launch site. This exciting project will culminate in actual storm data this summer 2011 in New Mexico. These aircraft and other designs for research are being custom designed and produced at our new facilities at the DRCC.”

“Midwest Sales and Marketing was founded in 1997 as an option for manufacturers to access an experienced sales staff quickly and efficiently. Midwest Sales partners strategically with companies that do business with a variety of sectors and industries. This cross-sectional approach has lead to increased sales for principals and at this juncture, Midwest Sales and Marketing has grown to a multi-person operation including marketing and engineering staff members to benefit signed principals to the fullest potential. Initially MSM focused on existing customer bases in the Midwest surrounding Ohio. At this juncture, Midwest Sales is able to provide support for its principals in the Northeast, Midwest, and the Southeast. In early 2008, Midwest Sales partnered with RFID middleware developer Analytica. Analytica represents the next generation of RFID Technology. The applicability of the ARIES line of products to benefit all sectors of business are limitless. Their product offerings take existing inventory, security, personnel or asset management systems to the next level with seamless integration and immediate results. In addition, they offer a application that can form a hybrid system with existing barcode technology as well as a multiple location analysis program as collaborated with Google. Midwest Sales and Marketing recognizes and has experienced firsthand the value of positive collaborations and partnerships. The best business relationships are formed when communication, expertise and the understanding of a common goal are present. The benefit of working with the Dayton RFID Convergence Center is that they foster all of these attributes in an effort to educate and recommend sound RFID capabilities to corporations and businesses that will benefit from this technology.”
